Manuel Gómez Pallarés, from the University of Valladolid team has been invited to give several lectures on Food Waste in Spain and Argentina.

October 2023 to April 2024

Professor Manuel Gómez, from the University of Valladolid, has stayed at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina. During this stay he has given lectures on Food Waste and the possibilities for its reduction, the subject of the Transcolab Plus project, at the National University of Cordoba, the Provincial University of Cordoba and the University of La Pampa. These activities have brought the results of the Transcolab Plus project closer to these institutions, and have had a certain repercussion in local media, allowing to reach part of the Argentinean society. Professor Manuel Gomez has also given talks on this subject to university and vocational training students on gastronomy in Valladolid, both at the Faculty of Medicine (Nutrition degree) and at the Alcazaren Center. These activities have brought the results of the project closer to future professionals.

Laura Román was invited to the International Workshop on “Upcycling in the food systems” in Denmark to give a talk on how to improve the sustainability of our food systems (Towards unlocking the potential of plant-protein-rich matrices for a sustainable food production).
