Molinos del Duero receives the Vulcano 2026 Award from the Zamora Chamber of Commerce

The TRANSCOLAB PLUS project celebrates the recognition awarded to Molinos del Duero y Compañía General de Harinas, S.L., a beneficiary of the project, which has received the Vulcano 2026 Award, granted by the Zamora Chamber of Commerce

This award is an important recognition of the track record, commitment and evolution of a Zamora-based company closely linked to the cereal and flour milling sector, which has successfully combined tradition, innovation, product quality and a forward-looking vision. From TRANSCOLAB PLUS, we would like to congratulate the entire Molinos del Duero team on this achievement, which highlights years of work, dedication and commitment to the development of the territory.

Molinos del Duero’s participation as a beneficiary of TRANSCOLAB PLUS reflects some of the values recognised by this award: collaboration, applied innovation, sustainability and the willingness to move towards a more competitive, efficient agri-food sector adapted to today’s challenges. Its involvement in the project helps strengthen the connection between companies, research centres and organisations within the cross-border ecosystem of Northern Portugal–Castile and León, promoting new opportunities for the cereal industry.

The Vulcano 2026 Award recognises not only a business trajectory, but also a way of understanding the sector based on commitment to the product, the territory and people. In this regard, Molinos del Duero is an example of a company with strong local roots, adaptability and a clear focus on innovation, continuous improvement and sustainability.

At TRANSCOLAB PLUS, we are especially pleased to share this recognition, as it highlights the importance of having among its beneficiaries business entities committed to the sustainable transformation of the agri-food and agro-industrial sector. Public-private collaboration, knowledge transfer and applied innovation are fundamental pillars for promoting new solutions, making better use of resources and generating real impact on the business fabric of the cooperation area.

This recognition also highlights the value of the Molinos del Duero team, as well as the trust of its customers and the collaboration of its suppliers, who are an essential part of its history and its growth as a leading company in the sector.

From the TRANSCOLAB PLUS project, we congratulate Molinos del Duero on this Vulcano 2026 Award and will continue working together with our beneficiaries to promote innovation, the circular economy and cross-border cooperation, contributing to the development of a more sustainable and competitive cereal sector with a greater capacity to generate value from the territory.
