On May 27, 2026, the TRANSCOLAB PLUS project will hold a Technology Fair at La Harinera, in Zamora, under the slogan “Innovative Cross-Border Solutions for a more Circular and Sustainable Agri-Food Sector”.
The event was created with the aim of bringing the public, the business community and the agents of the innovation ecosystem closer to the solutions that are being developed within the framework of the project to transform food waste into new opportunities. The fair will show how cooperation between entities in Spain and Portugal is promoting new technologies, products and processes aimed at a more sustainable, circular and competitive agri-food model.
Throughout the day, attendees will be able to participate in round tables, learn about experiences and projects related to the valorization of agri-food by-products, visit an exhibition area with interactive stands and enjoy informative activities open to different audiences. The meeting will combine technical knowledge, transfer of results and spaces for connection between companies, research centers, public entities and citizens.

The Technology Fair is part of the communication, transfer and capitalization of results of TRANSCOLAB PLUS, a project co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Spain-Portugal POCTEP 2021-2027 program, aimed at strengthening cross-border cooperation and innovation in the agri-food and agro-industrial sector.

16:45 – 18:15h: Informative activities (Obrador and multipurpose room): Demo on bread making with:
- Elisabete Ferreira, manager and third-generation master baker at Pão de Gimonde (Bragança, Portugal), was elected World Baker of the Year 2024 by the International Bakery and Confectionery Union.
- Florindo Fierro, master baker, advisor to bakeries and artisan bakeries throughout Spain. Great connoisseur of the sector in our country and explorer of new trends. With a deep knowledge of the bread universe and a great understanding of flours, he has been trained in Spain, Switzerland and Italy.
