On 29 May, a field day was held in Galindo y Perahuy (Salamanca), within the framework of the TransCoLab Plus project, focused on the observation and analysis of plots of Barbilla wheat.

The activity mainly brought together farmers and professionals from the cereal sector interested in learning first-hand about the agronomic performance of this variety, as well as its cultivation potential within more sustainable and efficient production systems adapted to the current needs of the farming sector.

During the field day, participants were able to visit the plots, analyse the condition and development of the crop, exchange experiences and share views on key aspects such as varietal adaptation, agronomic management and the opportunities offered by Barbilla wheat to bring added value to agricultural holdings. The event also encouraged dialogue between farmers, technical experts and organisations linked to the sector, promoting the exchange of practical knowledge and the joint search for solutions to the challenges facing agriculture.

This action is part of the cross-border cooperation activities promoted by the TransCoLab Plus project, an initiative working to strengthen the agri-food value chain through innovation, sustainability and collaboration between producers, companies and organisations from the participating territories.
